1. What are you musical influences since your music has changed so much recently?
Aaron: Um I guess for me I know we kinda all have been going in this direction for a long time since this is the first time actually we had the chance to actually do it. And our influences are all over the board like are new singer is really into botch and totally weird stuff. I like bryan adams and stuff like that. Were all over the board. This is grant he just got here.
Grant: Sorry.
Aaron: Like for us it was something we were doing and we really wanted to play what we wanted to play so we just decided to take the jump and do it.
2. What’s the story behind the line up changes and are you still on good terms with Dallas?
Aaron: Yes we are on good terms with Dallas and basically like its just of those things that don’t work out Dallas was a in a position to where he needed to _____ he’s getting married in a couple of weeks I saw him.
.
3. What’s the difference between takehold and solid state?
Aaron: For us there’s no difference really, I’ve been we’ve had the same A&R guys since we were 15.
Grant: There’s a lot of cool people at tooth and nail that are behind us. And um I joined right into takehold it was pretty much takehold with one guy. A&R guy is at solid state/tooth and nail and now that were on tooth and nail now we have a group of people so its like a team. So its like we have more people to support us.
4. Do you feel the wall between the Christian and secular music scene has been broken?
Are people in the secular scene more willing to listen to Christian music nowadays?
Aaron: I think for me personally don’t like to use the word secular, ya know? Like when you say that to someone you kinda like attacking them like pointing a finger at them. Kinda making them like feel alienated. I know for me that this that wall your speaking about that you create, you guys are right the further along the scene goes people get more open minded I know us as Christians that’s what we want to do we don’t want to tell them there wrong or even right we just want to love people, hang out with people and hopefully in that way that we’ll break down that wall.
5.What’s your best bowling score?
Aaron: I think I have broke 200 before
Grant: I have never really bowled
